Manuscript Summary:
Manuscript Summary
A large-format parchment antiphonary from the fifteenth century, probably from the monastery of Fischingen, featuring five-line staves with Hufnagel notation. It contains the Proprium de tempore from Christmas to Pentecost, the Proprium de sanctis as well as several seventeenth-century additions, including a responsory for Saint Scholastica (f. 203r) and an antiphon for Saint Idda von Toggenburg (f. 206r). Some initials with ornamental or figurative inner fields, a few of them with faces or profiles. This musical manuscript contains extensive signs of use and was later supplemented with new gatherings and ownership marks. The pastedowns are fragments of a Liber Glossarum in Carolingian Minuscule.
