Manuscript Summary:
Manuscript Summary
The two-part processional brings together chants, texts, and instructions for monastic processions over the year. The first, richly illuminated, part, with scenes from the life of Christ was produced in the southern Lake Constance area in the late fifteenth century, probably in the circle of the Murer family of painters in Constance. The second part was produced in 1606 in the Convent of Dominican Nuns of St. Katharinental (TG), and contains German-Latin procession orders, obituaries, and funerary rites, which are adapted to the local practice of the convent.
