Manuscript Summary
This paper manuscript contains the statutes of the church of Saint-Ursanne. Although the date 1785 is given in the title, the copy was made three years later, in 1788. The copyist, Aloyse de Bilieux (1758-1830), member of the collegiate chapter of Saint-Ursanne since 1779, was charged with revising the institution's statutes and signs this copy (p. 3). The dedication to the reigning Prince-Bishop, François Joseph Sigismond de Roggenbach (1782-1794), precedes the statutes (pp. 5-6).
