A composite manuscript with study materials written or commissioned by Jean Joly (Guardian of the Franciscan convent of Fribourg 1467-1469, 1472-1478, 1481-1510) during his studies at Strasbourg in the 1460s. It contains sermons, exempla, material on confession, as well as John Buridan’s questions on Aristotle’s Physics, and several computistical tables. The former chained volume, covered in dark brown leather, was bound in the workshop of Rolet Stoss in the Franciscan convent of Fribourg. (cam)
