Manuscript Summary
This large-format Franciscan-use Psalter, probably from the Bern region, can be dated to the last quarter of the fifteenth century. The rich book decoration includes blue-red initials with pen-flourishes as well as black cadel-style initials with red-lipped faces with profiles. The fifteenth-century wooden-board binding covered with white leather was restored in 1998-2000 by Father Otho Raymann.
