Hugo Argentinensis; Guillelmus Rothwell
Written in Latin at the beginning of the fourteenth century, this parchment manuscript contains the Compendium theologicae veritatis by Hugh of Strasbourg (1210-1270) as well as the Quaestiones super quatuor libros Sententiarum of William de Rothwell, OP (ca. 1260). Probably at Wettingen in the fifteenth century, in the eighteenth century the manuscript was owned by the Cistercian Order in Wettingen.

Miscellanea
Christoph Silberysens (1542–1608) wrote this miscellany between 1567 and 1589, with additions through 1604. Among other things, it contains texts on the history of the Confederation, travelogues, accounts of wars, storms, and celestial phenemona, as well as copies of charters. The manuscript is illustrated with color pen drawings – for example, illustrations of military parades – which were made by different artists.

Johannes de Gamundia; Bindus Senensis; Alexander de Villa Dei
The manuscript comes from the last quarter of the fifteenth century and is divided into two parts. The first part contains Latin sermons by Johannes von Gmunden (1380–1442) and others, while the second part has predominantly Latin tools for Biblical exegesis by Bindus Senensis († 1390) and Alexander de Villa Dei (1170–1250). Jacobus Brun owned the manuscript in the fifteenth/sixteenth century; in the sixteenth century, it belonged to U. or V. Knoll, probably Ulrich Knoll of St. Gallen, chaplain in Zurich, as well as to Rudolf Hofmann, chaplain in Zurich, Bremgarten, and Baden.

Vocabularius utriusque iuris
This paper manuscript contains the Vocabularius utriusque iuris, an alphabetically-ordered reference work of ecclesiastical and Roman law. It was written by Johannes Franz of Leipheim and finished on 23 October 1467. Johannes Frantz von Leipheim was a scribe in the service of Martin Rentz von Wiesensteig (d. 1503), who was active at the University of Heidelberg. Since the eighteenth century, the manuscript was in the possession of the Cistercians in Wettingen.

Catalogus bibliothecae Maristellanae
In 1720, the librarian Ignaz Pfyffer (1690–1736), commissioned by Abbot Franz Baumgartner (1652–1721) produced the Catalogus bibliothecae Maristellanae. The manuscript reflects the contemporary holdings of the Wettingen convent library. The catalogue, written in Latin, is illustrated with engravings that have been excerpted and pasted in. There are also ornamental decorations in the margins. The volume contains an alphabetical list of the book collection, an “Index geographicus”, and a Chronogram (p. 241).

Biblia sacra
The manuscript contains a Latin Bible from the second half of the thirteenth century. At the beginning it presents a text added later by the Wettingen monk Heinrich Sleli von Gunzikon. The binding dates from the seventeenth century and was later finished with a gold-embossed brown leather spine with a red label containing the script “Biblia sacra.”

Epistolare OCist
This liturgical book (Epistolare Cisterciense) can quite accurately be dated to around 1173 based on the script and on the succession of festivals described therein. This volume of epistles ist the second oldest manuscript among the Wettinger codices; by all indications, it was given to Wettingen Abbey as a gift from its mother house, Salem Abbey, on the occastion of its new founding in 1227.

Collectarius OCist (“Collectaneum“)
The Cistercian Collectarius dates from the third quarter of the 13th century. It contains liturgical prayers for the whole year. The manuscript's place of origin is unknown; several historical notes indicate that it was used early on in Wettingen. The calendar contains entries of commemorative days for the monastery's founders, and the short Notae dedicationum Wettingenses report on the founding and the equipping of the monastery.

Breviarium OCist
This extensive breviary lists the texts for the Liturgy of the Hours throughout the church year for the Cistercian Order. The calendar of saints and the rank of the feasts correspond to those from the last third of the 13th century. Based on the script, this breviary can be dated to the early 14th century. It remains unclear since when the manuscript was in use at Wettingen Abbey.

Consuetudines OCist
The Cistercian Consuetudines from the middle third of the 13th century include the foundational Carta caritatis and the practices regulating worship, the life of the lay brothers, the general chapter as well as other areas, up to the placing of accents in manuscripts. Several scribes contributed to the writing of this copy. In the 13th century, another scribe added medical recipes in German on previously blank pages.

This Cistercian pontifical for the abbot dates from the last third of the 15th century; it contains various benedictions and liturgical formulations for the consecration of monks and nuns, and for the appointment of an abbess. The formulations for ordinations in convents of Cistercian nuns are written partly in German.

Cartulary and register of annual donations of the Franciscan Königsfelden Abbey
Paper manuscript with copies of the privileges and annual donations regarding the property of the Franciscan Königsfelden Abbey. Begun around 1417 with additions until 1427. After the dissolution of Königsfelden Abbey, the book came to Muri and from there to Muri-Gries (Bolzano, Italy). It was returned as part of the exchange of cultural property with Muri-Gries/Sarnen in 1960.
