Manuscript Summary
This composite volume contains three German-language texts. The first is a Passion story by Heinrich Beck, who was chaplain at the church of St. Johann in Schaffhausen. This manuscript is the sole manuscript witness and dates to 1472 (mention of the author and copyist on f. 64r). Also dating to 1472 is the second text, the Münchner Oswald. It recounts in verse the ‘minstrel’ narrative tradition of the marriage offer of King Oswald of Northumbria. The third text, Christus und die Sieben Laden, belongs to the category of late-medieval edificatory literature.
