Manuscript Summary:This codex contains the Opuscula sacra by Boethius on pp. 59–111, that is I. De trinitate (pp. 59–70), II. De divinitate (Utrum pater et filius et spiritus sanctus; pp. 70–72), III. De hebdomadibus (Quomodo substantiae; pp. 72–77), IV. De fide catholica (pp. 77–84), V. Contra Eutychen et Nestorium (pp. 84–111), partly with glosses. Possibly parts were added in the 11th/12th century. Before that, on pp. 7–58, is a commentary on the Opuscula sacra I–III and V, attributed to John Scotus Eriugena or Remigius of Auxerre. On pp. 4–6, probably written by a 13th century hand, is the Planctus beati Galli, Inc. Quis dabit cineres, a lament about the theft of the treasure of St. Gall Abbey by the bishop of Constance. On p. 112, there is the De septem miraculis mundi by Pseudo-Bede. The mostly undecorated manuscript has an ichthyomorphic initial on p. 26 and an I-initial corresponding to 8 lines on p. 59.(sno)

Zwei besondere Blätter steifen Pergaments mit unregelmässiger Schrift; enthaltend eine Klage über die Beraubung des St. Gall. Kirchenschatzes durch einen Bischof von Konstanz (im XIII. Jh., nach v. Arx; im XI nach Mone). Theilweise abgedr. bei Arx Gesch. I, 362; ganz in Bad. Gesch. Qu. III, p. 135-137.

etc. (Folgen die Commentare zu Boëtius ad Johannem diac., ad eundem und Contra Eutucen et Nestorium). Am Ende:
Glose Boetii sc. trinitatis perscripte Deo gratias.
Dieser Commentarius verbalis, wozu der Text erst nachfolgt, fängt an:
Igniculum ingeniolum
etc. und bezeichnet die drei ersten Traktate als drei Bücher;
die Anfangsworte zum zweiten: Ad Johannem etc. p. 23 lauten:
Johannes iste postea papa fuit.
Es ist somit der nämliche Commentar wie in einem Einsiedler Codex bei Calmet Diar. helvet. p. 51. Der Anfang dieses letztern, abgedruckt in Peiper's Ausgabe der Consolatio philos. p. XXXXVII ff., steht in der S. Gall. Hs. von S. 7 bis 9 Zeile 8 von unten.

S. 59-111: Text (mit einzelnen Randnoten) der theologischen Traktate des BoëthiusDe trinitate, Ad Johannem utrum pater etc. Ad eundem Postulas ut etc. und Contra Eutychen. Zwischen den beiden letztern steht S. 77-83 ohne Alinea oder Ueber- und Unterschrift das Stück Christianam fidem V. et N. Testam. etc., also die *Confessio fidei, die auch der Einsiedler Codex, ferner ein Wiener (Endlicher Catal. p. 274) u. a. enthalten. In den Opp. Boethii Basil. 1546 fehlt sie und wurde zuerst von Ren. Vallinus Leyden 1656. 8° und 1671 herausgegeben; jetzt auch als 'Incerti de fide catholica' bei Peiper pag. 175 dazu pag. XXII. Die andere S. Galler Abschrift der Opuscula sacra Boëthii No. 134 enthält die Confessio fidei nicht.
