| Manuscript Summary: | Manuscript Summary The second of a group of originally six volumes containing St. Augustine's commentary on the Psalms. This volume comprises readings of Psalms 36 through 50, written in many different hands under Abbot Grimald (841-872) at the Abbey of St. Gall. During the first half of the 20th century a strip containing textual elements of the Edictum Rothari (Cod. Sang. 730) was recovered from Codex 165. On page 278 is a scribal annotation (Uuaningus scripsit) by a monk named Waningus. |
